2020 has undoubtedly been a year of forced reflection. With the majority of people’s activities on pause, the enforced isolation has taken a toll on many. We are bearing witness to a critical turning point in history. This has been the imminent wake-up call that has obliged us to introspect on our lives.
When the year started, I did not envision it going down this way. Nevertheless, I am grateful for the good and bad that’s come my way. Each served its purpose, which was to guide me towards self-discovery and servant leadership. Scriptures have never been more revealing, and I am convinced that the outpouring of the Holy Ghost is directing through us all.
This is not a sermon, but rather a personal reflection on the philosophical teachings of the Word; a juxtaposition of scriptures and practical affairs of this gift we call life.
Adversity can be your turning point

There’s a lot of sorrow and agony prevailing in many people’s lives. Despite all the ongoing gloom and doom, we must awaken to the new rhythm emerging. Let us not be oblivious to the self-inflicting depravity that had been running rampant. It seems that we have lost touch with the finer values of life: faith, hope, and love.
It appears that we are approaching a crossroads of fate; choose wisely. This is a word of encouragement to those that have made the inherent decision to manifest their hopes & dreams. Have the fortitude to strive toward what awaits you and the self-awareness to awaken to the Higher Power at hand. Have the self-acceptance to appreciate your strengths and weaknesses because they equivalently play a role in revealing your truest self.
Accountability breeds discipline
Man thrives by the principles he holds dear in his heart
Positive thoughts give birth to sturdy convictions that foster an unwavering attitude. How you ultimately view yourself and the currents of life, will determine your quality of life. If you are unhappy with how life is going, it is up to you to make the first step towards change and entrust in the Higher Power to guide you.
That is what’s great about self-improvement. Though it may seem like a lonely road on the exterior, I beg to differ. Quite frankly, you awaken to a serendipitous force that begins to connect all the dots, and suddenly life becomes vigorous.

Leave no room for doubt
If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.

Self-doubt is a killer; slowly and surely, you’ll descend into the pit if you keep on feeding your inner critic. Unbeknownst to many, that is also the fundamental key of the law of attraction.
Whenever you ask something particular that you hold dear in your heart, you must behave as if you possess it already. Best believe that you are a powerful magnet, and you can, without a shadow of a doubt, attract the life that you desire.
Closing Words and Updates
It certainly has been a while since I posted any content on this platform. As we are approaching the end of 2020, I am deeply grateful for what the year had to offer. It wasn’t easy or straightforward for that matter.
Needless to say, I appreciate the good and the bad. More importantly, I am thankful for finally finishing my nursing program. The future has never looked brighter; I have now more time on my hands to engage in the things I have always had to put a pause on.
To you reading this, I sincerely hope that you enjoyed the read and possibly found something of value that can inspire you to reach for the sky because you are a star in the making.
